We arrived really early and got to hear and see the sound check....and the first opening act was Artful Dodger...we were "shut out" of the second act (which turned out to be okay with us), but we were able to use the stage for a footrest when Lost Dogs took the stage

We were disapointed with the condition of the rose gardens, but there were a few pretty blooms...the weather was unbearably hot, and most of the roses were well past the blooming stage. We were surprised that the bushes had not been pruned to make more profuse blooms. But we did find a grower selling on the side of the road, and i have added four bushes to my own rose bed.

Kristy and Tony are on vacation with Gillian, Caleb and Gabriel. They picked up Isaac on their San Antonio stop and have come through Arlington and Dallas to see us and Tony's Aunt. We had dinner tonight at Spring Creek. A good time was had by all.
